演 題：Soft tissue engineering
内 容：The aim of this work is to be able to grow vascularised soft tissue,
in-situ using the body's own metabolic processes. This requires the maintenance
of a space for the growth to occur and the control of the environment within
this space to ensure directed growth of appropriate vascularised tissues.
The space is maintained through the use of biodegradable chambers and scaffolds
and the delivery of a range of factors via controlled release mechanisms.
An example of how this can be applied to regrow fat and its potential applicants
for other orgeniods is described.
